Understanding Rank Shifts
- 🟢 Positive Shifts (+ Loosened): The cutoff rank went UP. This means the branch was less competitive this year, allowing students with higher (worse) ranks to get admission.
- 🔴 Negative Shifts (- Tightened): The cutoff rank went DOWN. This means the branch was more competitive this year, requiring a lower (better) rank to secure a seat.
