Telangana Job Zones Explained
Understanding Multi-Zone I vs Multi-Zone II for 95% Local Reservation
Why do Zones matter?
In 2018, the Telangana Government introduced a new Zonal System to ensure that 95% of government jobs are reserved for local candidates. For high-level gazetted posts (like Medical Officers, Group 1 & 2), the state is divided into **two Multi-Zones**.
Your **Local Status** is determined by where you studied from **Class 1 to Class 7**. You are considered a local of a zone if you studied there for at least 4 years during that period.

Important Note
If you are applying for the Medical Officer (Unani) post, all 3 vacancies are in Multi-Zone II. This means candidates from Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, etc., have a significant local advantage.
