What is Management Quota (Category-B)?
In Telangana, professional colleges (Engineering, Pharmacy, MBA, etc.) reserve 30% of their total seats under Category-B, commonly known as Management Quota. Unlike Category-A (Convenor Quota) which is filled via EAPCET/ICET ranking, Category-B seats are filled directly by the college management based on certain eligibility criteria.
Category-A (70%)
Filled by Govt via Counselling (EAPCET/ICET). Fee is Govt fixed.
Category-B (30%)
Filled by Management. Includes NRI quota. Direct Admission possible.
Fee Structure for Management Quota 2026
The fee for Management Quota seats is generally higher than the Convenor Quota fee. It is regulated by the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (AFRC).

Eligibility & Admission Process
- 1. Merit List: Colleges must invite applications through a notification and prepare a merit list.
- 2. Priority: Preference is given to NRI candidates, followed by JEE Main/EAPCET rankers, and finally candidates with 45%+ in 10+2 (Intermediate).
- 3. Documentation: Students must submit original certificates and pay the full first-year fee to secure the seat.
- 4. Approval: All Category-B admissions must be ratified by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
